Manicure and Music Monday

Alright, so I did finally get that black and red glitter mix off my nails, and I traded it in for something so unlike the typical "me" (keep in mind that I spent most of my life hating girly stuff, and that even in heels and a dress, I'm still a bit of a tomboy) that my mother did a double take when she noticed it. What is this color?

Pale.
Ladylike.
Pink.
(Seriously, I'm surprised I'm willingly wearing it...)

OPI "Panda-monium Pink".
Oh well... I've already figured out my next nail color, and it's - hint! - a LOT brighter than this. A lot. ;) As for music, I think you all might as well hear some of the stuff that's been inspiring me lately.

I love this song! It's serving as the basis for some writing I'm doing for a scholarship - you may or may not see the piece here, depending on whether I think the finished product is relevant to the overall blog or not. Regardless of that, though, this is just a really inspiring song. It makes me curiously happy and sad all at once. You know that one quote from Perks of Being a Wallflower - that constantly-quoted one? "So this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be." Not only is that a perfect description of how my life is right now, it's a great description of how this song makes me feel.

How's your life/week/day? Happy Monday!

HI! Please read this before you comment!

I love to hear from my readers and those new to my blog (feel free to url-drop if you need to)! Interacting with people can be so inspiring. PLEASE DON'T leave me just "FOLLOW MY BLOG" messages that you copypasta on dozens of blogs - I follow blogs when I feel inspired by their content, and I try to show it by actively commenting on the content they've generated. I will delete these responses, because they make me extremely uncomfortable. (Yes, I'm aware that's pretty odd... I'm sorry).

That said, I hope you have a lovely day!
