So, I've started college. Past two months were insane, involved several trips to Arkansas, frantic packing, two day almost non-stop drive to Ohio...and then rollercoasters, zoo, water park, tours, almost thirty miles of walking total...
I'll try to get some pictures or something up, and respond to things, within the next week or so. College is exhausting and I haven't even started classes yet.

I'm Back!
Oh my... I certainly fell off the face of the Earth again, didn't I? Sorry about that... Graduation and job-hunting has sort of taken over my life, quite frankly, along with learning to code designs of webpages. Prom overtook my life too, for a little bit, but graduation has been The Ultimate in "let's make Sue panic, it'll be fuuuuuuuun!!!" I've been doing everything - hunting for "that" dress, decorating my cap (and figuring out how to wear it), trying to figure out dorms (I still don't have a roommate...if, by some miracle, someone from CWRU still minus a roomie is reading this, PLEASE hunt my face down on facebook and talk to me!), staring aimlessly at my screen contemplating the mechanics of time, and coming up with dozens of ideas I will probably never have the time or energy or money to put into action. (I know the exact type of home I want when I'm older, but I don't even know the sort of career I want... I don't think that's fair!)
Oh, and in between all the test-taking, job-applying, and general nuttiness, I somehow got bored last week, found a pair of scissors and my trash can, and, well...

What do you think? I'm excited, because I haven't had short hair since ninth grade, and, what can I say, my scissors did a heck of a better job than the scissors of the person I paid almost $100 to for a mess. I definitely think there are still reasons to have hairdressers, but...make sure you're very specific and don't just say "short". The spirit of my chop in ninth grade is begging you. (I wanted hair like Charlize Theron as Aeon Flux, I got hair like Adrian Grenier). Anyhow, that's my big change. (I'm aware that cutting it before graduation was crazy, but my cures to boredom are unfortunately impulsive. They do always work, though!) I've got a blogger award to respond to, a TON of outfits to get up, and quite a few graduation parties to go to, but I don't intend to fall off the internet again until my first college finals week.
See you tomorrow!

Life, Quit Interfering
I think it should be impossible to reach the level of exhaustion that I have attained. I don't think I can sleep enough to regain energy, but who knows - we'll see if I manage it over spring break (next week! So close I can barely stand it!). This marks my third week in an unintended hiatus. I have the energy to do some stuff online, but not the energy to write interesting posts, look at clothing as anything beyond "Can I sleep in it?"
The musical went well, and we're gearing up to start another round of rehearsals for doing it again at ISAS. I went to the cast party last night, and we saw the film made out of our performances. It was really great, and we probably scared the host's neighbors with our screaming when our Seymour and Audrey kissed on the screen. (You know how people sound when their team wins the Super Bowl? That was us when those two kissed!) We also scared her parents by having a giant sing-along to the film, and playing Hide and Seek across their house. I fell asleep behind their hot tub and was the last one found. xD It was a lot of fun (especially the sleeping part...) and I'm glad we waited a few weeks for it, so we all had some time to recover. Hopefully, getting around to swapping all my winter and fall stuff out for spring and summer stuff will rejuvenate my brain a bit - along with a lot of sleep, of course. I'm not sure if next week will be a fourth week of non-posting, or if it'll just be partial. Right now, I'm leaning towards partial.
How have you been the past few weeks?

Courage
You know the feeling of finding out a pet you adore has X disease and they're not gonna make it? Well, then, you know what my Monday has felt like. My ten-year-old cat, Courage, who I've had and adored practically forever, has leukemia. And apparently transfusions might not even help her to make it any longer.
It's just...horrible. We almost lost her brother Crookshanks earlier this year, and then, back in April of 2010, we lost a stray we took in that we called Lady. It's so hard knowing that your pets are mortal, that you'll outlast them, and yet, they're like your children, and it feels like they should last forever.
I just... I really don't have anything I can say about anything else right now. Sorry.

edit:
We wound up having to put her down. I think this is the first time I haven't been crying in the past two hours.
