one more week!

I honestly just have one more week till finals and freshman year are done with. I'm really happy about the idea of finals being done with, and really upset that freshman year will be over, because pretty much all my friends will be leaving. At least some of my friends are staying over the summer like me! But it's definitely going to be weird. I hope it'll be fun, though...

Some of my favorites for the week (other than finishing my Accounting final...) (Also wow, I've totally given up on transitions, what would my English teachers say? Probably something about finals killing brain cells, I dunno...)

This belt is absolutely adorable.

I think I've got one project I need to do this summer, now. It's so cute!

Can I become Zoe Saldana? Because seriously, she's so amazing and gorgeous and talented and I would very much enjoy being her. (Alternatively, can I have this dress and actually look as good in it as she does? Please?)

Refinery29 is basically one of my favorite spaces online, because they post an absolutely lovely mix of silly things, awesome things, 'need-to-know' things, news, and really useful things, like this. It's a guide to how to start running as a kind of serious thing, and I hope it'll help me as I try out one of my summer goals - "find a type of exercise that I like and can do regularly". I know that I hate running, like, with a fiery burning passion, but I hope that maybe I can figure out a way to like it, because you can do it anywhere and any time, which, y'know, is a good thing.

What are your favorites this week?

  1. Great post =) I hope you exams and finals goes well and wish you all the very best. Also, the belt is extremely cute and would look perfect on a high waist skirt. Zoe's dress looks stunning and the details are stunning. Once again, good luck with school and enjoy =)

    1. Thank you! Things seem to have gone decently - fingers crossed as the last few grades go up! The belt is absolutely my favorite - I love belts like that, since my main love in fashion, other than shoes, is high-waisted skirts and dresses. Again, thank you!

  2. I don't know what my favourites this week are lol! But I am loving your sneakers and I agree with you regarding Refinery, I read it on a daily basis! It's always interesting to read their headlines and you cannot help but look at the whole article always!

BTW: That you dislike and feel uncomfortable with these "follow my blog" messages is NOT weird, it's normal to anyone reasonable, because they are pretty ugly and desperate. x

    1. Ahh, yess! I read practically everything they publish. It's such a time suck, but I can't stop, because they hit everything I'm interested!

(And thank you - I know lots of other people are uncomfortable with them, and that there's no need to apologize for my feelings, but I'm still a level of uncomfortable with asserting myself that means I feel very odd about actually saying things like that... College is the great act of training myself to be less awkward...)

  6. It's very definitely bittersweet... I'm grateful to be done with classes (until my SAGES in June), but I'd actually be okay with living in finals week another week or so just because I'd rather be freaking out with my friends than doing nothing and missing them. Also, gooood I would love to be Zoe. Or have her closet. Or both. Probably both. Definitely both...

HI! Please read this before you comment!

I love to hear from my readers and those new to my blog (feel free to url-drop if you need to)! Interacting with people can be so inspiring. PLEASE DON'T leave me just "FOLLOW MY BLOG" messages that you copypasta on dozens of blogs - I follow blogs when I feel inspired by their content, and I try to show it by actively commenting on the content they've generated. I will delete these responses, because they make me extremely uncomfortable. (Yes, I'm aware that's pretty odd... I'm sorry).

That said, I hope you have a lovely day!
